BNE are actively seeking Cable Installation Engineers to be based in Devon to work on multiple projects in the surrounding area. 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Installation of underground cables using hand pull techniques.
  • Spanning of overhead cables between poles
  • Clearing duct blockages.
  • Competent in the use of mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in the use of risk assessments, method statements and hazard identification, with a strong focus on health and safety responsibilities.
  • Familiar with electronic Apps and the ability to read instructions, complete paperwork and take photo evidence of work completed.

 Applicants must: 

  •  Hold a full UK driving licence  (HGV licence would be beneficial)
  • Consent to a CRB check.

  • Splicing pre-installed
    Fibre Cables.
  • Testing underground and
    overhead pre-installed connectorised block terminals.
  • Commissioning Optical
    Networks.
  • Experience in the use of
    risk assessments, method statements and hazard identification, with a
    strong focus on health and safety responsibilities.
  • Familiar with electronic
    Apps and the ability to read instructions,  complete paperwork and
    take photo evidence of work completed.

Applicants must:

  • Have experience working
    in a similar role.
  •  Hold a full UK
    driving licence.
  • Consent to a CRB check.
